What is Semaglutide?

Semaglutide is an injectable medication that is safe, effective, and FDA-approved for weight loss.

What is Tirzepatide?

Tirzepatide, activates the body’s receptors for GLP-1, similar to semaglutide, but also activates pathways for glucose dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), which also plays a role in regulating blood sugar and appetite.

How do they work?

When combined with lifestyle changes like diet and exercise, Semaglutide & Tirzepatide aid in healthy weight loss. The drugs work by mimicking a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that is released in the gut in response to eating. GLP-1 interacts with the areas of the brain that regulate appetite and signal you to feel full. 

For both semaglutide and tirzepatide, patients start with an injection once a week, with the dosage adjusted over time based on the individual patient.
