Sculptra
Sculptra is an injectable collagen stimulator that contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA-SCA), which helps to restore natural collagen production. This treatment targets fine lines and shallow-to-deep wrinkles on the face and around the jawline. Specific areas addressed include cheek wrinkles, folds between the nose and mouth (“smile lines”"), lines around the mouth (“marionette lines”), and chin wrinkles.

The number of injections needed are dependent upon each individual and determined by your provider. This treatment usually requires 2-3 sessions over a few months, at around 3-4 weeks apart.

Results may appear after one month and may last for up to two years, but vary per person.

Sculptra must be massaged following injections. The product recommendation is to follow the 5-5-5 rule: Massage the injected area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days in a row.

Recovery time is around a few hours, though it varies per patient. Minor injection site pain, redness, bruising, and swelling may occur following treatment.
